OPA 90 and other U.S. Environmental Compliance

Since the passing of the Oil Pollution Act of 1990 (OPA 90), Hudson has been helping shipping companies comply with its environmental regulatory requirements. In addition to OPA 90 services, Hudson also provides environmental compliance program (ECP) support, compliance services for vessel general permit (VGP) notice of intent (NOI) and U.S. ballast water management (BWM), comprehensive regulatory compliance advisory, as well as training, drills, and exercises.

OPA 90 Compliance

To support shipping companies in complying with OPA 90 regulatory requirements, Hudson provides Qualified Individual (QI) services, coordinates the Incident/Spill Management Team(s), works with clients to create and update their Vessel Response Plans (VRPs), develops and implements training and exercises, and offers a comprehensive range of other services needed for compliance and ensuring smooth and efficient continuity of operations.
