International Environmental Compliance

HudsonAnalytix works with vessel owners and managers to develop and implement plans, ensuring compliance with international regulations – including MARPOL 73/77 and Ballast Water Management (BWM) – while promoting efficient and profitable operations.

In addition to international (IMO) compliance, Hudson also provides services to support environmental regulatory requirements for specific countries in addition to the United States.

International Maritime Organization (IMO) Compliance Services

MARPOL 73/78, the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships, establishes global standards to prevent marine pollution, addressing pollutants like oil, chemicals, sewage, garbage, and air emissions. The Ballast Water Management Convention (BWMC), an international treaty enforced since 2017, sets standards for ballast water treatment, ensuring approved management plans and promoting responsible maritime practices for the protection of global marine ecosystems.

HudsonAnalytix guides shipping companies through the intricacies of MARPOL, the BWMC, and other international regulatory requirements by providing advisory work, plan writing, and other compliance services to ensure vessel owners and operators fulfill all environmental regulatory requirements.
